Last Friday, reporter Jim Scott came to our house to interview JR for his new series on TBI, The Silent Epidemic. (Yes, that means Nicole spent all day before cleaning the house! Thanks for the help Mom!)
The episode aired on Friday, Feb. 19th during the 5 o'clock news. They did a wonderful job of explaining the issue (except that JR isn't actually retired from the army) and hopefully it will lead to more discussion, at least locally. It was great to see that they interviewed Mike Penny from the local VSO and Congressman Kevin McCarthy. We're looking into the bill that McCarthy mentioned and we'll post that info later.
